The Theme Customizer: Your Control Hub
The vast majority of your theme's global settings are controlled from one central place: the WordPress Customizer. This allows you to see your changes in a live preview before saving them.
How to Access: From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Appearance → Customize.
Theme Colors
This section allows you to set the core brand colors for your entire website.
- Primary Color: Controls the background of the main header, all buttons, and the hover/active state of menu items.
- Secondary Color: Controls the background of the desktop and footer navigation bars.
Typography
Fine-tune every aspect of your site's text to match your brand's style.
- Font Selection: Choose different fonts for your main Body Text and for all Headings (H1-H6). You can select from a curated list of popular Google Fonts or use standard system fonts.
- Font Sizes: Independently control the font size for the Site Title (with separate settings for desktop and mobile) and the Navigation menu.
- Font Colors: Set custom colors for the Site Title, Navigation links, and general Headings.
Header Options
- Enable Sticky Header: Check this box to make the main header stick to the top of the screen as you scroll.
- Logo/Site Title Position: Choose to align your site's title and logo to the left, center, or right within the top header bar.
Menu Options
- Mobile Menu Header Text: Set a custom title that appears at the top of the slide-out mobile menu (e.g., "Navigation", "Main Menu").
- Desktop Primary Menu Alignment: Align the desktop menu links to the left, center, or right of the navigation bar.
Page Options
- Display Page/Post Titles: Globally enable or disable the main titles that appear at the top of all pages, posts, and archives. Useful for creating landing pages.
- Display Featured Image on Single Posts: Globally enable or disable the featured image that appears at the top of individual blog posts.
Featured Image Dimensions
Control the size of featured images on the main blog and archive pages. By default, images are cropped to a 16:9 ratio.
- Custom Width/Height: Enter your own dimensions to override the default. Set height to
0to maintain the original aspect ratio.
Note: Custom image sizes only apply to newly uploaded images. To apply them to existing images, you must use a plugin like "Regenerate Thumbnails".
Widget Areas for Dynamic Content
This theme includes numerous widget areas for adding dynamic content, ads, and more. Manage them from Appearance → Widgets.
- Default Sidebar, Sidebar 1, Sidebar 2: Your main content sidebars.
- Footer Widgets: Add up to three widgets here. They will automatically be arranged in a responsive three-column layout in the footer.
- Advertisement Before Footer: A full-width area perfect for a large banner ad right before the main footer.
- Posts Page Ad Slots:
- Banner Ad Top: A banner ad shown only at the top of the first page of your main blog.
- Native Ad After 2nd/6th/12th Post: In-feed ad slots that appear on every paginated page of your blog after the specified number of posts.
